The Display Group of the Melbourne Colonial Dancers performs early Australian dancing for all occasions including fetes, festivals, dances and parties.

The Colonial costumes worn by the Display Group are replicas of the clothing worn circa. 1860 in Australia and have been made by the Colonial Dancers. To celebrate the centenary of Australia's Federation in 2001, the Display Group made costumes in the Federation style and performed dances done in the Federation period.

Type of Displays:

  • Dancers perform with our musicians or to mini disc music
  • Run a dance - with musicians, a dance caller, and dancers to help demonstrate the dances
